One should be a Professional in any field. Time is being changed these days. In previous days, there were few worthy profession, people expect to chase for. But in todays date, every profession is worthy and are given equal respect.

Chef Santosh Shah from Karjaya, Nepal has showed that Nepalese food can be redefine and serve in a modern approach to the world. He has also proved that a chef also can be a pride of Nation. Today (राष्ट्रपतिको कार्यालय) Office of the President of Nepal has announced that Chef Santosh Shah is going to be awarded with Suprabal Janasewa shree (सुप्रबल जनसेवाश्री) for Promoting Nepalese Food in a  Master Chef UK Professional 2020

Before Chef Shah, Legendary Chef Ganesh Shrestha was awarded same title Suprabal Janasewa shree (सुप्रबल जनसेवाश्री ) by Nepalese government, (राष्ट्रपतिको कार्यालय) Office of the President of Nepal in 2018 AD, who has been living in UK for 50 years now. He has been running a ethnic Nepalese Food restaurant in London ” Jojoloppa” and has served t0 Prime minister of England to President of Japan in a government summit.

Office of the President of Nepal has awarded these two Chefs as a National Hero of people. Related to this, Legendary Chef Govinda Narsingh KC was also awarded as” Gorkha DakshinBahu” in 2005 AD by King Gyanendra Shah , a year after he become the first executive chef ( 2004 ) of any five star hotel in Nepal in Soaltee Hotel, the hotel run by King Gyanendra and his team. Legendary Chef Narahari Adhikary became the ever first executive chef in any star hotel in hotel , late 1980s .

Carving , is a form of art , the art where you can free to express your thought and idea to shape up . it is the act of using tools to shape something from a material by scraping away portions of that material. The technique can be applied to any material that is solid enough to hold a form even when pieces have been removed from it, and yet soft enough for portions to be scraped away with available tools

here we invited to chef shivahari ghimire, one of the very renowned carving chef in town to show his extra ordinary skill in carving to our next generation chef from ihm college.

Khir Khane Din ( Sawan 15 ) – खिर खाने दिनको हार्दिक शुभकामना।

Nepal is very rich ( Rice Pudding ) in Cultural diversity and gastronomy . Nepalese celebrate hundreds of festival through out the year according Nepalese calendar.

Among different festivals in Nepal, this Kheer Khane Din is also one of those festivals where the family and the relatives unite and reunites to share the joy and happiness of being into a family.

Among all the meaning full festival , Sawan 15 ( Khir Khane Din ) is one of the most celebrated festival comes in 15th sawan in Nepalese Calendar BS .  “Khir ” is a common, yet an auspicious delicacy in Nepali cuisine.

Khir is one of the integral parts of parties and ceremonies in authentic way . From marriage parties to funeral, khir is served and eaten to observe the occasion. Khir is regarded as pure food in Nepal, as it is rice cooked in milk. It is mainly eaten as desert or side dish with puri or sel.

The Nepali month of Asadh and Shrawan marks the rice harvesting period for the farmers. Paddy farming in Nepal is a joyous occasion in Nepal. Since, Shrawan marks the end of the harvest period, they offer Kheer as Prasad (holy offering) to the deities and enjoy themselves as well.
